Karolina Pliskova win's over Naomi Osaka into rogers cup 2017

Karolina Pliskova is through to the quarterfinals at the Rogers Cup for the first time, moving past fellow big-server Naomi Osaka after the Japanese player had to withdraw early in the third set.

Qualifier Osaka, a promising Japanese teenager with a big game, did very little wrong in their hour and 46 minute battle, even extending the match to a third set, but was undone by the return of a lingering abdominal injury trailing 6-2, 6-7(4) 1-0.
