The WTA travels to the Far East in April for the BMW Malaysian Open. Won by Alisa Kleybanova at its inaugural staging in 2010, Kuala Lumpur has since been captured by Jelena Dokic, Hsieh Su-Wei, the second Taiwanese to secure a WTA title, and Karoline Pliskova. Malaysia's only global city, Kuala Lumpur is a financial, insurance, real estate, media and arts hub.
