Karolina Pliskova is going to break the Top 10 on next Monday's WTA Rankings.

Last year Pliskova came into Stanford ranked No.45, but she's currently all the way up at No.11 after a breakthrough 12 months that have included three WTA titles (Seoul and Linz last year and Prague this year) and four more finals (an International-level one at Hong Kong last year and three Premier-level ones at Sydney, Dubai and Birmingham this year).
She's had four Top 10 wins in that span too. The Czech was a win away from the Top 10 at the Aegon Classic Birmingham during the grass court season, needing a win in the final of that Premier-level event to achieve the feat - she lost, just barely, to Angelique Kerber (highlights above).
But now she won't even have to do any winning to clinch it - regardless of how she does in Stanford this week, she's projected to break the Top 10 come Monday.
