Karolina Pliskova into semis of the bnp Paribas open 2017

INDIAN WELLS, CA, USA 

Karolina Pliskova  extended her dominance over Muguruza, edging past the Spaniard in straight sets to return to the bnp Paribas open  semifinals for the second straight year.

Pliskova needed two tiebreakers and just under two hours to emerge victorious in the tightly-contested battle, knocking out the reigning roland garros  champion 7-6(2), 7-6(5).

"Definitely the best match for me in this tournament," Pliskova assessed in her post-match press conference. "Also, like, it was against good player, so the level ultimately goes a little bit more up.
