Johanna Konta advances to final of the Miami open 2017.

Johanna Konta will play caroline wozniacki in the Miami open final after a tight, straight sets battle against former champion venus williams, 6-4, 7-5.
The semifinal victory not only puts Konta through to her second Premier Mandatory final of her career, but it ensures that she'll return to the WTA's Top 10 when the rankings are released on Monday.
"I think there was so little in [this match] to go either way, so I'm just very pleased that I was able to really capitalize on a few more opportunities than her," Konta told press after the match. "Every time I get to play Venus I always look forward to the battle.

Caroline wozniacki advances to final of the Miami open 2017. Karolina Pliskova out

For the first time in her career, caroline wozniacki will play for the title at the Miami open, as the No.12 seed rallied from a set down to oust No.2 seed karolina pliskova, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 in Thursday's first semifinal.
Wozniacki's best previous result in Miami was a semifinal in 2012, and saw Pliskova strike 24 winners to pocket the 62-minute opening set. She later dug in on defense in sets two and three to turn the match around; with the victory, the World No.14 has now advanced to the championship match at all four Premier Mandatory events in her career.

Venus Williams played stellar tennis from start to finish to upset top-ranked Angelique Kerber, 7-5, 6-3, to reach the semifinals of the Miami Open.
"It was an interesting match," she said in her press conference. "I was controlling it. I had more errors than I like and lower first serve percentage than I would like. For me, I'm looking at it from a standpoint of how can I get better.
"I have to play well against the No. 1 in the world. She's on top of her game and she played well, so I had to find a way to play a little better."
