SYDNEY, Australia
Johanna Konta made short work of eugenie Bouchard to take her place in the final of the Apia international Sydney on Thursday.
A devastating returning display enabled Konta to wrap up a 6-2, 6-2 win in little over an hour. In the final, Konta will face 2013 champion and agnieszka radwanska.
Konta's victory completed a memorable night for Britain on the Ken Rosewall Arena, which began with Dan Evan's upset of the top seed in the men's draw, Dominic Thiem.
