Sloane Stephens shocked No. 9 seed Venus Williams in the first all-American women's semifinal, defeating the two-time champion, 6-1, 0-6, 7-5, Thursday night in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The 24-year-old Stephens, who is playing in just her fifth tournament back after returning from foot surgery, moves on to her first Grand Slam final, where she will play the winner of tonight's second all-American semifinal between CoCo Vandeweghe and Madison Keys.
