Coco vandeweghe into semis of the us open 2017. Karolina Pliskova out

CoCo Vandeweghe of the U.S. stunned women's top seed and 2016 finalist Karolina Pliskova, 7-6, 6-3, Wednesday to reach the second Grand Slam semifinal of her career and first ever at the US Open.
Vandeweghe, who also was a semifinalist at this year's Australian Open, is the third American to reach the semifinals in New York, joining Venus Williams and Sloane Stephens in the final four.
