SINGAPORE
Angelique kerber won a fourth straight match at the bnp Paribas wta finals 2016 2015 champion and No.2 seed radwanska, 6-2, 6-1, to reach her first final in Singapore.
"I'm really happy to being in the final here for my first time," Kerber said in her post-match press conference. "It's the last tournament, and of course to finish with a final it's great. I remember the last year how I was finishing here, so this is big improvement."
Kerber was the only player to carry an undefeated record into the semifinals, and played like the favorite throughout the match against Radwanska, who hit an out-of-character 28 unforced errors in just over an hour on court.
