SABINE LISICKI WINS OVER GLUSKO IN THE CHAMPIOSHIPS WIMBLEDON 2014

Sabine Lisicki continued her tradition of dominant performances at the All England Club by opening her 2014 Wimbledon campaign with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Julia Glushko. 

 The 19th-ranked German took less than an hour to dismiss the world No.79, her 17 winners to Glushko’s four highlighting the overall dominance as she showcased the best of her power-packed game. Lisicki held break points in all but one of Glushko’s eight service games, converting six of them to gain the upper hand. Lisicki, who upset world No.1 Serena Williams en route to the 2013 final, will play either Karolina Pliskova or Karin Knapp next.
