Angelique Kerber makes short work of Ekaterina Makarova in Eastbourne 2014

In the women's side of the draw, fifth seed Angelique Kerber beat Russian world no. 22 Ekaterina Makarova 6-2, 6-1. 

This is the German Kerber's third appearance at the south coast tournament, and the world no. 9 will have been happy to avenge last year's defeat to Makarova in the second round.
