Kristina Mladenovic on Sunday sent the Suzanne-Lenglen Court into a French frenzy after beating defending champion Garbine Muguruza in three thrilling sets.
The Frenchwoman upstaged the No.4 seed 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals at Roland-Garros for the first time.
In her second appearance in the last eight at a major (after the 2015 US Open) Mladenovic will take on the winner of the match between Venus Williams and Timea Bacsinszky.
