NEWS WTA PLAYER: VOTE NOW JUNE'S PLAYER OF THE MONTH.

Petra Kvitova: Despite withdrawing from Eastbourne mid-tournament, Petra Kvitova entered Wimbledon full of confidence. The 2011 champion was back on a surface perfect for her big hitting powerful game.
After an easy opening two matches, Kvitova played five-time champion Venus Williams in a thrilling three set match, which she eventually prevailed 5-7, 7-6(2), 7-5. After that it was easy sledding for Kvitova who did not drop a set en route to her second Wimbledon crown. What were Kvitova's thoughts on winning again? "I can't say that it's more special than when I won my first Wimbledon title, but after three years, to stand here with the trophy again is so amazing," said Kvitova.

Eugenie Bouchard: WTA Rising Star Eugenie Bouchard continued her stellar Grand Slam form reaching her very first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon. The 20-year-old made tennis history becoming the first Canadian to make a Grand Slam final. Bouchard had a tough road to the final defeating Andrea Petkovic in the third round, Alizé Cornet in the round of 16 and Top 10 players Angelique Kerber and Simona Halep in the quarter and semifinals. Bouchard would eventually fall in straight sets to a red-hot Petra Kvitova in the final. Following Wimbledon, Bouchard broke into the Top 10 becoming the highest ranked Canadian in history.

Ana Ivanovic: Ivanovic had an excellent start to the grass season winning the Aegon Classic in Birmingham. Ivanovic had a dominant tournament and did not drop a set all week. It was Ivanovic's biggest title and first WTA Premier crown since 2008. She entered Wimbledon with a week of rest, but fell to 2013 finalist Sabine Lisicki in the third round after three sets. Despite the early loss, Ivanovic still leads the WTA in wins this season with 39.
