ELINA SVITOLINA WIN IN BAKU 2013

In the finals 18 year-old Ukrainian player Elina Svitolina ranked  71 in the world faced 26-year old  Shahar Peer of Israel ranked 149th.
Until the final, Svitolina consequently won Alexandra Krunic (2-1), Nastassja Burnett (2-0), Donna Vekic (2-0) and Alexandra Cadantu (2-0).
As to Peer, she eliminated İlona Kremen (2-1), Chanelle Scheepers (2-1), Tadeja Mayeric (2-1) və Magda Linette (2-0) from the struggle.
In the first set of the match that was going on in a very interesting competition the Ukrainian tennis player was demonstrating calm performance. Svitolina who at certain point was ahead 5:1 was obviously prevailing in the game. Peer who finished three games in her favor and made the score 4:5 was not able to do more than that. As a result, Svitolina who won one more game made the score of the set6:4.
In the second set where the players were demonstrating equally strong game the rivals struggled for each point till the end. Both players winning their own servings in a subsequent 8 games made the score 4:4. In the 9th game Svitolina who broke the serving of her rival was ahead 5:4 approached the title of champion closer.
The Ukranian tennis player benefiting from this situation successfully won also her own serving and the score of the set 6:4 and the match 2-0.
Thus, she finished "Baku Cup 2013" tournament as a champion. This has remained in the memories also as the first victory in the career of the 18 year old tennis player.
We inform you that earlier, in the Shenzhen tournament Shahar Peer faced Svitolina where Svitolina won 2-0 (6:1, 6:3).
