It’s such a great team and we got off to a great start,’’ Serena said. “It’s such a great atmosphere. And I think we worked really hard. It was really fun.”
As great as Serena is, the 21-year-old Kenin is rising up as a player – and she also won her match easier. Despite being a little tired after traveling from Australia to the state of Washington, Kenin won her opening match against Latvia’s No.41-ranked Anastasija Sevastova, winning 6-2 6-2.
