 9) Sharapova has seven wins over World No.1s. Sharapova, a former No.1 herself, has seven wins over reigning No.1s - Lindsay Davenport twice, Victoria Azarenka twice, and Amélie Mauresmo, Justine Henin and Caroline Wozniacki once each. 
 10) But beating Serena is another story... Sharapova has never beaten Serena while she's No.1, and she actually hasn't beaten her in more than 10 and a half years - she's lost 16 straight since beating her at the WTA Finals in November 2004.
