SERENA WILLIAMS AND CAROLINE WOZNIACKI INTO ASB CLASSIC 2015

Both Caroline Wozniacki and Venus Williams will make the trip to New Zealand to kick off their 2015 campaign. Joining them at the International event, which has been a fixture on tour since 1986, will be Sara Errani, Barbora Zahlavova Strycova and two-time Grand Slam champion Svetlana Kuznetsova.

"To have a Top 10 player in Caroline, a legend in Venus and a further three others in top 30 is a pretty incredible effort considering the competition," Tournament Director Karl Budge said.
"There is a real variety in styles, and some pretty tense competition right from the word go!"
Wozniacki will arrive at the ASB Tennis Centre on the back of a brilliant end to 2014 that saw her climb back into the Top 10 and reach the final of the US Open. Williams, who currently sits at No.18 in the rankings, will be looking to go one better than her performance in Auckland last January, when she finished runner-up to Ana Ivanovic.
Also joining them in the draw will be highly touted young Americans Sloane Stephens and CoCo Vandeweghe, as well as fellow WTA Rising Stars Monica Puig and Ana Konjuh. Home hopes lie as ever with Marina Erakovic, who after making some changes behind the scenes is targeting a return to the Top 50. "It is great to have Marina playing her home tournament.
