Monica Niculescu and Klara Zakopalova are the 2014 Hobart International women’s doubles champions

Romanian Monica Niculescu and Czech Republic’s Klara Zakopalova are the 2014 Hobart International women’s doubles champions. Niculescu and Zakopalova won the title with a 6-2 6-7(5) 10-8 victory over second seeds American Lisa Raymond and China’s Shuai Zhang on centre court today. 

It is Niculescu and Zakopalova’s second title of the year, having also won the title in Shenzhen last week. The title win is some consolation for Zakopalova, who lost the singles final to Garbine Muguruza earlier in the day.
