Barbora Strycova into quarters final of the ladies open biel bienne 2017

Barbora Strycova  was made to work to reach the quarterfinals at the ladies open biel bienne  on Thursday, dispatching Germany's carina Witthoeft  in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6(6).

Broken just once in the nearly two-hour encounter, Strycova saved two set points late in the second set before edging it in a tiebreak. The Czech advances to her third quarterfinal of the season, but first since the Apia International in Sydney
