Simona Halep ended her quest for a maiden Grand Slam title in emphatic style, coming back from a set down to defeat Sloane Stephens at the French Open and lift the Coupe Suzanne-Lenglen.

After falling in three previous Grand Slam finals - including two at Roland Garros - Halep, the ‘emotional fan favorite,’ finally triumphed against US Open champion Stephens, winning 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 after a nearly two-hour battle on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
