Katie Boulter in QF of the nature valley open

Britain’s Katie Boulter is into the first WTA quarterfinal of her career after scoring a statement win over Sam Stosur at the Nature Valley Open in Nottingham.

Boulter, ranked World No.156 and Britain’s No.4 player, needed a tiebreak to take the tight opening set but reeled off five games in a row to close out the 7-6(6), 6-1 victory after an hour and 18 minutes.
