The top WTA players are getting ready for the Mutua Madrid Open

With three days left until the start of the Mutua Madrid Open, the Caja Mágica is warming up its engines with the presence of some of the big stars. Several players visited the tournament grounds on Tuesday to get a taste of the Madrid clay and start making their preparations for the third Premier Mandatory of the season, which starts on 29 April.

The first to arrive at the Caja Mágica were Simona Halep, Carla Suárez, Elena Vesnina, Eugenie Bouchard, Johanna Konta, Naomi Osaka, CoCo Vandeweghe and Christina McHale, among others. The players trained on the Mutua Madrid Open courts throughout the day, making the most of the excellent temperature in the Spanish capital (more than 20 degrees) in order to fine tune their games.

Tomorrow, and as the big day keeps getting closer, the players will keep arriving in Madrid as they seek to make their necessary preparations for the tournament.
