Karolina Pliskova win's over Muguruza in fed cup 2017.

Karolina Pliskova powered past Garbine Muguruza in just 60 minutes to put the defending champions on the brink of another semifinal in Ostrava

OSTRAVA, CZECH REPUBLIC: Karolina Pliskova delivered a masterclass in the opening reverse singles rubber in Ostrava to put Czech Republic on the verge of a place in the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas semifinals for the ninth consecutive year. 

World No. 3 Pliskova blasted Garbine Muguruza off the court in just 60 minutes, triumphing 62 62 to hand the hosts a 2-1 lead going into the fourth singles rubber. 

Barbora Strycova has the chance to deliver a 10th consecutive Fed Cup tie victory for Czech Republic when she takes on Lara Arruabarrena in Sunday's second singles. 

Strycova and Arruabarrena have never met before at Tour-level, though the Spaniard did win their only previous meeting in qualifying for the WTA event in Paris in straight sets.
