In the second round matches played today Qualifier Lesia Tsurenko ranked 124 won her fifth match in row packing off second seeded and 61st ranked Irina- Camelia Begu -6,6-1,7-6(3) in 2 hours and 12 minutes , former top 30 player Urszula Radwanska currently ranked 205 ousted 79th ranked Donna Vekic of Croatia 6-3,6-3 in 1 hour 20 mins , while to the 114th ranked Olga Govortsova packed off the 87th ranked and sixth seeded south paw Misaki Doi of Japan 4-6,6-3,6-3 in 2 hours and 5 mins. Top seeded Bojana Jovanovski survived in the clash between former champions winning 7-6(6),3-6,6-3 against Alla Kudryavtseva in a 2 hour31 minute thriller. It was a great day for the large crowds as two local stars Nigina Abduraimova and Akgul Amanmuradova made it to the last eight where they will clash with each other. The tall and lanky Nigina hammered 12 aces on her way to a 2-6,6-3,6-4 win over Alexandra Panova of Russia in 1 hour 56 mins . Another star Akgul Amanmuradova on her comeback trail outplayed qualifier Lyudmyla Kichenok 6-1,6-2 in less than an hour. In the best match of the day Lesia Tsurenko won her fifth match on the trot , coming in as a qualifier the 25 year old from Ukraine went down in the first set being broken in the 8th game losing 3-6 . But the tenacious fighter from Kiev Tsurenko came back to break Begu the former winner here in the 2nd and the 4th games and clinch the set 6-1. In the decider both players broke each other twice.



Last Year's finalist Olga Govortsova of Belarus recorded the only upset of the day registering a 4-6,6-3,6-3 win against a left-handed sixth seeded Misaki Doi of Japan in 2 hous and 5 mins. Doi won a break ridden first set 6-4 , In the second set Govortsova found her form breaking Doi in the 5th and 9th game and leveling set scores. In the third set Govortsova broke in the 4th game and kept up the lead to wrap the match and place in the last eight.
