Ana Ivanovic is back in the top 10 in the world rankings. 4 AUGUST 2014.

It has been a long wait - and at times a real struggle - but after more than five years, Ana is back in the top 10 in the world rankings.

The 26-year-old swapped places with Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, rising from No.11 to 10th, following her quarter-final appearance in the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford last week. There were many who doubted Ana's resolve, especially when she dropped to No.65 in the rankings during the summer of 2010. For several years she has spoken of her desire to get back into the top 10, and her determination is today rewarded. "It's obviously a very nice feeling," said Ana. "It has been a long road, and I still have a long way to go. I've had this goal for a long time, so it feels good to achieve it. "Now I want to keep up this momentum and at the very least qualify for the WTA Finals in Singapore."
